raker ela1. Vocabulary quiz every Friday. Monday first 1-10, Tuesday synonyms, Wed. antonyms, Thursday we practice sentences, study some Thursday night, Quiz Friday. TURN IN YOUR VOCABULARY SHEET Friday.
2. Students should read at least 20 minutes a night. Record on home reading logs. Parents signature needs to be on the sheet. Points off if it isn't there. 3. Your SSR-self-selected book needs to be with you Monday, Wed., Friday. 4. AR tests are required on the things that we read in class. So far students need to take a quiz on the short story personal narratives: Sweet, Hands of Love, and The Gift. Soon we will finish our personal narrative writing and will move on into Flowers for Algernon excerpt in our literature book. Our current theme is social acceptance. * We do the same vocabulary sheets as Ms. Ketchum and same SSR sheets in class. The home reading log is larger. |
